This Coffee People Donut Shop K-Cups are some of the best tasting coffee pods that I have ever had since using a single server coffee machine. I’ve read reviews online that try and suggest that these things are all they are made up to be. I personally love these pods and I truly hope that you learn to love them as well.
If you have been using a drip coffee maker up until now, you will most likely be used to buying your own coffee beans and grinding them separately before measuring the grounds into your coffee machine ready to be brewed. I personally however grew tired of grinding years ago, and for the last couple of years I have been using a different kind of coffee maker, the single server. In the field of single servers there are quite a good number of different brands and models for you to choose from, but in this coffee drinkers opinion the very best of this bunch are the pod brewer coffee makers from Keurig.

The Keurig machines, and also the Cuisinart SS-700 (currently undergoing remarketing as Cuisinart SS-780) and the Breville BKC700XL, which were actually made with the single server technology from Keurig. This means that these machines also have the capacity to use the K-cup pods from Keurig. If you go over to the Keurig website you will see that there is a huge number of pods, well over 200 different blends in fact available.
Flavor of the Donut Shop K-Cups
The blend of k-cup I will be reviewing for you today is the Donut Shop K-Cup from Coffee People. This is a seriously tasty blend of coffee, it is marketed as “medium extra bold”, which I think accounts for the flavor of the coffee not quite being as strong as it possibly could be. There is now a new style of packaging for this blend of coffee, while previously there was 2x 24 boxes, there is now 1x 50 box, which means that you get an extra 2 k-cups for your dollar. If you prefer to have your coffee taste as strong as possible, then I might suggest you look at the Newman’s Own Extra-bold Special Blend K-cup
There have been reports of these k-cups from Keurig having problems when it comes time to brew. Reports of the pods being too tightly packed with coffee on occasion do seem to have surfaced, but in my personal opinion this is something that you can put down to being simply anomalous.
Donut Shop K-Cups Conclusion
Some people might balk at the idea of having to pay anywhere up to a buck for these pods, but you’ve got to remember that these things make coffee so good that you almost don’t have to go back to the Coffee Houses ever again, at least not for the great tasting coffee, because you will be getting that at home now.
